Transitional Design At Its Finest
[highlight]This “whole house” project came to us from the delightful talent of Tom Spanier of TZS Designs in Chicago. Hylan has been happy to have known Tom since he started out as a draftsman at our shop many years ago, and we now enjoy the privilege of collaborating with him on his client projects. This project involved renovating an entire house, as you can see from the images above.[/highlight]
[highlight]Hylan worked predominantly with premium painted materials in a favorite shade of white. But we also spiced it up a bit with a gorgeous walnut study (Black American Plain Sliced Walnut Select) and curved moldings in many hallways and room entrances that really highlight the beautiful design work. Tom happens to be an extremely detail-oriented design professional, which we greatly appreciate. So he came to us with very clear specifications and parameters to follow for this project. And some of the details you can’t see, but which are really amazing, are a hidden gun safe behind some wall panels as well as additional office storage hidden below other wall panels. The end result was a delighted client and service partner, with Hylan delivering our work product on-time and on-budget.[/highlight]
